Internally we see that the Villa is richly decorated with frescoes painted by “Pietro Giarrè” in the middle of the seventeenth century. Giarrè was enrolled in the academy of art in Florence and was active in Calci from 1770 to 1781 where he painted beautiful barroch paintings similar to those he had done in the Villa. His decorations in the painted form that he left on walls and ceilings which are so spectacular and created such wonderful scenes that he leaves his viewers so caught up and involved in the imagery that they feel psycologically included and involved in the reality of the subjects. This is why visitors to the Villa Medicea have the sensation of having stepped back into another era – that of the seventeenth century.
